Jeffry was born and raised in suburban Detroit. After high school, he attended the University of Michigan, earning a degree (A.B.) in English Language and Literature, a minor in Spanish, and a secondary education teaching certificate. Naturally, he went into the technology field, staying at U of M upon graduation. He’s since bounced around the U in different technical, then managerial roles. Somewhere along the way, Jeffry earned his Master of Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Illinois. Jeffry is proud to say he's spent nearly 30 years working at the U, loving almost everything about the experience.
Jeffry started writing in November 2010 during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo to the cool kids). He has participated in NaNoWriMo every year since and has amassed a lifetime word count of over 670,000, and some of those words are now ready to publish.
Jeffry and his family currently reside near Ann Arbor and enjoy Michigan sports, hiking, long walks on the beach, cats, survivalist day camp, and sleeping.
